Felix Wang

I grew up in Beijing, China and received my bachelor’s degree in Biological Science (Dean’s Honor Class) at Nankai University in Tianjin, China. I started my undergraduate research journey in Baofa Sun’s lab, where I investigated RNA alternative splicing and RNA m6A modification in cardiovascular diseases through computational methods. As a research intern, I pursued further training in Xiaohua Wu’s lab at Scripps Research, focusing on the molecular mechanisms of break-induced replication, a key DNA repair pathway. As a graduate student in Alexei Aravin’s lab, I am interested in piRNA biogenesis and heterochromatin repair. Outside the lab, I enjoy playing basketball, solving Sudoku puzzles, and staying with my little calico cat.
